What do you conjure when you banish justice?

Shadow on the Wall is a thriller opera, telling the story of a Blackwater contractor convicted of murdering Iraqi civilians, and the sister who successfully campaigned for his presidential pardon...a miscarriage of justice so striking that it conjures a vengeful, shadowy presence to the family's home.

Told through shadow puppetry, Shadow on the Wall is in development with the American Opera Project, in association with NYU Tisch's Advanced Opera Lab and the New Phase Collective. The performance will be released in late 2021.
